Barack Obama's Questionable Money Trail? by Thia Levy
Barack Obama's Questionable Money Trail? by guest poster Thia Levy
At what monetary threshold would trigger an investigation by Homeland Security, the Dept. of Treasury, and or the FEC. It would seem reasonable that when almost 50% of a candidate's contributions are below the legal-radar that requires disclosure of the contributor's name and employer, that would meet such a threshold and certainly gives the appearances of improprieties.
Question: Is it reasonable to believe that:
When compared to all contributions of all candidates, Obama's "unknowns" are 41%, McCain's are 10% (76% less than Obama's), and Clinton's are 20% (51% less than Obama's)?
When the percent of "unknowns" is compared to the total contributions given to a candidate, Obama's "unknowns" are 47%, McCain's AND Clinton's are 31%?
Please also note the information in the attached NYT article (Obama Forgoes Public Funds In First for Major Candidate) that indicates that Obama took in $95M in Feb & March "in small contributions of $100 or less raised on the internet."
**Observation: This would be an excellent way to hide over-the-limit contributions by certain individuals and/or launder money. SEE SPREAD SHEET BELOW
New York Times Article Obama Forgoes Public Funds in First for Major Candidate
Important excerpts from the article:
[Obama] raised $95 million in February and March alone, most of it, as his aides noted Thursday, in small contributions raised on the Internet. More than 90 percent of the campaign’s contributions were for $100 or less, said Robert Gibbs, the communications director to Mr. Obama.
Asked in a questionnaire whether he would take part if his opponents did the same, Mr. Obama wrote yes. But he added, “If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election (Question: So why did Obama do a flip-flop and opt out? This is "Change" "we" can count on? The bigger question is: Who's the "we"?)
Mr. McCain seized on Mr. Obama’s decision to question his trustworthiness. “Senator Obama’s reversal on public financing is one of a number of reversals that he has taken,” Mr. McCain said in Columbus Junction, Iowa, where he had been touring the floods. “I’m especially disturbed by this decision of Senator Obama’s because he signed his name on a piece of paper, signed his name.” “This election is about a lot of things but it’s also about trust,” he said. “It’s also about whether you can take people’s word.”
The above statements by Obama and his campaign staff add evidence that there is indeed a lot of under-the-legal-radar money being given to a major presidential candidate.
Obama and his supporters will more than likely put forth the assertion that his campaign is being financed by "regular, everyday folks" and make accusations that anyone questioning all of this under-the-legal-radar money is somehow casting disparaging remarks against good, hard, working people. Such methods of attempting to "change the subject," "divert the focus" are very old criminal and ole' boy tactics use by some of history's most infamous and have absolutely no business being used in a presidential campaign.
Shouldn't all of us be extremely uncomfortable not knowing where 50% of a major presidential candidate's campaign finance money is coming from especially in light of the under-handed and unethical way this primary has played out. This person is asking to be the president of the US. We have a right and a duty to know who's backing him....
There should be an investigation to ensure that there are no foreign ties, no illegal campaign bundling by organizations or people, and no one giving more than $200 in small contributions wherein her/his name and employer has not been recorded. Contact the US Dept. of Treasury, the Federal Elections Commission, and Homeland Security and ask that this be investigated.

My god, this man reeks with "dirty" any way you look at him.
I just can't believe, what people don't see.
Let's keep up the fight, we have absolutely "nothing" to lose.

I will not vote for the sham Nobama.
I am certain now:
If not my Hillary, then I will vote for McCain.
Don't stay home. Vote for McCain if Hillary does not get the nomination.
Voting for McCain will hurt Obama more.
McCain is a moderate Republican after all and at least we are sure that he is 100% American.
I'd rather see America fighting in a war than America stealthily handed over to communists by this fake Obama.
If Not Hillary, it's McCain!

If you think the this is incredible, go to read the NY Times article that was published right before Sen. Clinton suspended her campaign. The conclusion of the article:
IT appears that Hillary Clinton is going to suspend her presidential campaign this weekend, at the urging of Democratic Party leaders and superdelegates. Before that happens, Mrs. Clinton and the superdelegates might want to know this: if the general election were held today, Barack Obama would lose to John McCain, while Mr. McCain would lose to Mrs. Clinton.
Read it yourself at: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/06/opinion/06tyson.html?_r=2&oref=slogin&oref=slogin
The primary numbers:
Senator Clinton: 17,783,608 Democratic Votes
Senator Obama: 17,434,560 Democratic Votes
Electoral College Votes if Senator Clinton won the same states in the general as she won in the primary: 311 (41 votes to spare)
Electoral College Votes if Senator Obama won the same states in the general as she won in the primary: 226 (need to make up 44 votes)
My family, friends, and I will not support a candidate that professes to have "won" the primary via rule-mongering maneuvering--maneuvering that smacks of old, back-room, dirty politics and certainly does not instill "hope" nor exhibit the kind of "change" or the kind of values that this great nation and the world so desperately need to ensure a safe, secure tomorrow.

The Newsweek blog has decided to to show signs of life and discuss the ‘myths” about Obama’s money. It’s showing some signs of life…as in, what’s actually going on with Obama’s “cash cow”….

Not as hard-hitting as this find expose, sort of around the "fringes" of his claims, but, heck, it's a start...
What can you actually believe about anything that comes out of Obama’s mouth? Heck, his bio had fictionalized/composite characters in it. That wasn’t the first clue??
Shelby Steel said long ago that people would quickly become disappointed when they saw beneath the veneer of Obama...let's hope the entire facade shatters and soon...

The financial aspects that are seen on the surface are quite speak of visible corruption, but that which is still kept under the radar is nothing short of treacherous. Remember how from the beginning all of the media, politicians, and moie stars were endorsing him? Even after the Rev. Wright story broke, several endorsements came out of the woodwoek to save his dying campaign. We seen the same pattern again after the bitter comment. Barack Obama is funded by George Soros; a multi billionare with a radical left agenda. That explains why the DNC, the media, and several politicians are in the tank for Obama. I'm glad that people are finally waking up.

I'm glad people are waking up also, but the problem is this. He is owned, finance and bought by the GOP. FISA just passed---how disgusting is this.
BE PREPARED, I believe, he will start and initiate WWIII in this country. The only peope who love him, are NAZI minded anyway.....ME, ME,ME, MYSELF and I
It is what is is
Fight this SOB---he doesn't deserve what he has

I am not surprised that Obama's financial whiz who is apparently responsible for the insolvency of a Chicago bank would find and use an untraceable outlet to obtain cash. Now if you have donated to Sen.Clinton online you know you still have to fill out the form regardless of the amount. Why is it not the same for good ol'BO?
There is only one reason it would not be the same. Why would the obama campaign which is so zealous in maintaining list of donors and/or possible donors not require all the information. The obama campaign has compiled so much information on so many Americans that their database most probably rivals that of the IRS.
The thought that they would ever pass up the opportunity to obtain and track any information is simply unacceptable, UNLESS it was done SPECIFICALLY to shield donors and allow over limit donations or foreign donation or simply donation not legally acceptable.
Now the big one. With such a high untraceable donation total why has the FEC not investigates, especially combined with the VERY QUESTIONABLE "donations" to Super Delegates? Because one of BO's biggest supporters, HARRY REID, is stopping FEC investigations. Read Collusion or Coincidence on the homepage it tells you why.

Speaking of a questionable money trail, it appears that Barack hasaccepted massive campaign contributions from lobbyists despite his promises to the contrary. Bonnie Erbe just wrote an article detailing "Obama's Fundraising Hypocrisy"
